It has been a busy week and a crazy couple of months.  Bryan & i are still involved with the FAZST study. Finally was able to get back in there for our or should i say Bryan's 2nd of 4 or 5 appointments.   Also just this morning we also were able to go back to our doctor (Fertility) at Utah fertility center out in Murray. Dr conway was needing to have us do blood work. Finally got that done! so we shall see where we go from here.

Visit with My Fertility Doctor/Reproductive Endocronologist- Dr. Conway

So as many of you may know.... Bryan & I are going through and struggling with Infertility.
You would know that and can see and read all the updates via this blog.

Anyhow,  On the 28th of this month (as in this last Wednesday) I was able to go visit with a Reproductive Endocronologist & Fertility doctor. I am pretty sure it is the same thing.

I had a good visit with Dr. Conway out at Utah Fertility Center in their office in Murray. Yes so convienent. I am so glad I went to this appointment. Dr Conway is so so so very nice. She is very encouraging and she is very compassionate and knowledgeable.  She knows her stuff!!!!

Yes I had my very first Ultrasound EVER!!!! and it only took 5 minutes. In this ultrasound she was looking to determine some issues and to help get us answers as to why we are struggling to conceive.

The good news is & without going into great detail or giving TMI we were able to see on ultrasound that there is some positive things happening that will hopefully result in a successful outcome (us getting pregnant, carrying and having a baby) among other things (hope that makes sense).

We will have to both have some bloodwork done and review records etc. and then formulate a "GAME PLAN!" and we will see where it takes us.

Another awesome thing is that from her office if you look out the window you can see the Hospital (IMC) from their office.  So SUPER CLOSE....

Some more updates.....

So last week Bryan and I started on the FAZST study that the University of Utah's center for reproductive medicine is conducting.  If you are not familiar with the FAZST study you can visit their website @ for more information.

So Bryan throughout this study "Will be doing most of the work" and by that I mean giving some "Guy" samples (not wanting to get into to much detail and give TMI) and or offend anyone in anyway.

so he gave his first sample last week at our initial appointment back on last Tuesday.  And then on Wednesday I had a HSG procedure done at the hospital. Those results came back normal however bryan's results came back abnormal and real low.

So it appears we will be going the fertility specialist route.... Which I wish we would have gotten better news but, we still are excercising our options.

Will keep you all informed.

The Last 2 days.....

So just to update you all and keep everyone updated... Been a crazy last couple of days...

Yesterday Bryan and I went to our initial appointment for the FAZST study that the University of Utah center for reproductive health is doing.
If you do not know what the FAZST study is you can look on their website and get information at :

Anyhow so we just had the usual stuff done like blood drawn and other routine tests that you have done when you do something like this or go see a doctor. Bryan had to do a couple of more things than I did but, I will not get to much into detail about that and give out "TMI"!
anyhow we will have questionaires to do online monthly and bryan has to go in every other month till NOVEMBER just to have "check up's" and such. We are really hoping this will help us in our Journey to achieve parenthood.

Then today it was my turn..... I went out to have a X-RAY/test done at the hospital (IMC) intermountain medical center in Murray.  And the results should be in by lunch time but, by preliminary reports all seems to be normal but, we shall see.

And all I have to say is "Thank Goodness that's done and over with!"

Update on what we have going on.....

Just wanted to write and update you all on what we have going on.  You may remember from my last post that I did a repeat lab of the Anti- Mullerian lab that my doctor.  Dr Parrett wanted me to do.  Well that lab the number increased a few points but, still real low. So of course the next steps are and look like they are going to be to ultimately be meeting with a Reproductive Endocronologist.

I got some information from my doctor and phamplets for The Reproductive care center, Utah fertility center, and such. Also got information about the FAZST Study that the University of Utah is conducting. This is one that they are targeting couples who are struggling to conceive and who want to get pregnant.

If you are not familiar with the study I am speaking to.... you can find info via this source:

We got enrolled on to the fazst study and our first and initial appointment is On the 20th and we are so excited. Will keep you informed.

Got some info on FERTILITY STUDIES, & Other tests to help us on our journey.....

So yesterday we took a drive out to Murray to IMC to my Doctor's office.... Can I just say again how much I love my Doctor. I love Dr Parrett she totally looks out for me and is so very attentive.  Anyhow on the phone the other day on the phone as I had just did a repeat on my Anti Mullerian lab and still kind of real low.
Anyhow she said that she would have info on additional labs/tests she would like me to do if and when I could and then she was telling me that there is this study coming up that we could potentially participate in and among other things it gives 4 semen analysis at NO CHARGE. (Sorry just hope I did not get to personal about things). Accept my apologies. This though is part of our journey.

So I made some calls last night to The reproductive care center, The Utah Fertility Center etc. and I am waiting for emails and callbacks.

Talked to my Dr... Dr Parrett today about my latest lab....

You may remember me writing a post like 2 or 3 days ago when I went to the Hospital (IMC) Intermountain medical center in Murray, Utah to do a repeat lab (Anti-Mullerian) for my doctor.

here is a link to that post....

My doctor and I have been playing email and phone tag. Well today I finally got to talk to her on the phone. And pretty much what I suspected was confirmed. Although my level raised a few my doctor is saying it is still really low. And the likelihood of us getting pregnant on our own & without any help is NOT NONE! but, real low.

She was talking about some options and told me about a Study that is coming up for couples who are struggling to get pregnant and such. I am going to pick up info in the next couple of days.  Also she is going to put a order in for a test or so for me to do when I am able to. I think one is a x-ray of my uterus or something like that.  Anyhow a lot to do however I think ultimately the end result will be getting a referral to a reproductive endocrinologist.

That is where things stand now.... Will keep you all informed.

Anti Mullerian LAB- REPEAT!!!! "A part of our Journey!"

So you may remember a few weeks ago I had some labs done at the request of my OB/GYN Dr Parrett. There were 3 done and 2 of the 3 came back normal and my Anti- Mullerian one came back real low. So I had the option to just get a referral to a Reproductive Endocronologist or do this lab one more time on the chance that the result was inaccurate and a false result.

I went to repeat the lab today and that was about @ 2 PM and within a hour I would say of that being done I had a message on the answering machine from my doctor wanting me to call her.  Well I guess we all know what that means right??? I was so hoping for something else. But, I won't be able to talk to her till tomorrow as they are gone for the day. So will let you all know.

So you may remember a previous post I wrote about getting 2 of my 3 labs I had that Dr parrett wanted me to do to check as to what the reason as to why I haven't conceived yet in almost 2 years of trying.... The last of the 3 labs and results came in....

They are as follows:

It is called a Anti Mullerian Hormone

Anti-Mullerian Hormone<0.003

BASCIALLY IT IS REAL LOW.... So the chances of me getting pregnant on our own is very low.

NOT NONE... but, LOW!!!

So the options were or are:   to repeat the lab on the chance it was some mistake. Then if not then I would get referred to a reproductive endocrinologist.  And go from there.

So at my convience I will be going back out to IMC (Intermountain medical center) in murray to do that.

Will keep you informed.

How is that for a title ???

anyhow just like the title of this post states I did go to IMC (Intermountain Medical Center) and got some blood work, labs done that my OB/GYN requested last month. Literally it took 3 minutes to do.

Anyhow 2 of the 3 tests came by within a few hours and the last one still waiting for.

However so far all my labs are showing that I am good to go and I am where I need to be as far as in the baby department. That is what I know so far.  I think there are some labs up at the U (University Hosp.) or one of the clinics up there that she would like for Bryan to do.  We will have to figure a way financially to get that done. Not sure if insurance covers it.

Will keep you all informed as when the last lab of mine comes back and where we go from there.

We want to thank you all who are following our story, journey and supporting us in some fashion or another. We appreciate it so much and love all of you so much.

So as you may have been able to tell from my earlier post from this morning... I FINALLY Went to the Doctor and I saw a OB/GYN - I have been wanting to since last September. But, it finally happened today.

Bryan and I have been married for almost 2 yrs and have been trying to get pregnant but, with no success. So among just establishing care and such I also wanted to try to get checked out to see what's up.

So I had a EXAM (pap smear) I have never had one till today. Actually and surprisingly it was not that bad.

That was the easy part.....
So after that my doctor (Dr. Parrett) and I had a chat about where we go from here.
There are some labs and tests she wants me to take and one that she wants to send Bryan for.
However of course these tests costs ALOT OF MONEY!!! MONEY we do not have. So we will have to determine what we will be able to do.
One of the tests will determine how many EGGS and such I have in reserve. I hope I have sufficient and as such to where the possibility of us conceiving is not completely a impossibility.

I think that is the test that mostly scares me.... AND If it is determined I will not be able to bare children. Something I thought I would always be able to do.... How would I feel about that??? would I be okay with that??? and just the whole range and then some of emotions. Such a emotional roller coaster.  Definitely a lot to think about....

I want to apologize in advance if any of the content in this post makes anyone feel uncomfortable or in anyway offends anyone. I do apologize - however at the same time I do not apologize for being able to be open about this and share this and such.

Will keep you informed.... Prayers will definitely be appreciated, welcomed and more along with love and support.
